American Made With Saami Roots

My Family History

Welcome

Hello.   I am making my own family website.  I have spent thousands of dollars in fees and dna testing.  22 years later I am so tired of the limitations of the Genealogy sites built in "Well if you want this, you can pay for that." and so on.  Im sure I will have my limitations here too.  There will be many links to free sites.  Others have come before me to create this type of space and been successful.  My goal is that live members of my family can easily come here when they are ready to explore.

11/19/2020   I am glad that I waited almost a year to continue with this site.  I have a better understanding not only of myself, but for my future also.  "What I want to spend my time doing is available to me now."  I also continue to lean much about Being American Made with Saami Roots. (mother roots).....Gee; there are (father roots)  also!  With this said, I have been enlightened by "Familysearch.org" that both of my Parents Families have direct lines to the Puritans that traveled to Plymouth Rock on the Mayflower in 1620, 400 years ago. It sure is funny now., I thought that American Ancestors was trying to get a hold of me to get more money for the 400 year anniversary (which I did know about). Not until FamilySearch notification of (6) Ancestors on the Mayflower did I pay attention!  What a Surprise, just in time for Turkey Day.

The title represents the mtdna mother/daughter lineage.  My lineage was not known to me.  Not even to my grandmother. She was a great mystery anyway, so I was pretty lost.  My fathers side was not known to me due to divorce.  When I was a young woman, I was drawn to the "Native American rituals".  I learned about "finding my center".  For female its through the mother daughter lineage. To find the generation that spoke the native tongue of whatever tribe I descended  from.  What a challenge!  Being "WHITE" with  "DARK" hair; I was pretty certain I was NOT Native American.  I assumed I was a mixture of a lot of stuff.  I was wrong.   When considering regions  of the world; and to learn I am 100 % Nordic, as is my mother,  Explains a lot about myself in so many deep ways.
